European Patent Office is hiring a Director Channel Management in Munich

Reporting to the Principal Director Communications, as Director Channel Management you will be responsible for the technical side of internal and external communications, the EPO website and intranet, content customisation by channel, the EPO's social media accounts, graphic design, events and large-project co-ordination. 

Your main responsibilities  

  • Developing and co-ordinating all communication channel management activities for the EPO's internal and external communications
  • Supporting the implementation of the Strategic Plan by customising communication channels to support communication strategies
  • Developing a multichannel strategy that includes video, social media, press relations, conferences, events, the internet and the intranet
  • Managing a team of communication professionals and third-party providers
What we expect from you  

  • A seasoned communications specialist with a successful track record in corporate communication
  • Substantial expertise in channel management and the ability to advise on (external/internal) communication strategy, both in terms of technical input and content
  • International experience and a very good understanding of IP and public service missions
  • Minimum of five years' managerial experience
  • Considerable experience of project management
  • Outstanding teamwork and management skills 
Your qualifications 

  • Diploma of completed studies at master's level or – in exceptional cases – equivalent professional experience
  • Excellent knowledge of one official language and ability to understand the other two; in exceptional cases, excellent knowledge of one official language and ability to understand another
  • Citizenship of one of the member states of the European Patent Organisation

It is intended to hold the interviews in February 2020, in Munich.
